On the 24th of September, the participants of the plastics cluster´s cooperative project “Caracoat” met for the closing meeting at asma. In cooperation with the Montanuniversität Leoben, the university of Paderborn and various other companies, the research partners worked on anti-adhesive coatings for tool surfaces with the objective of reducing the use of release agents in the processing of plastics and being able to avoid them completely in the future.

This project is supported by AIF and FFG within “Cornet” as well as by ecoplus-NÖ, the plastics cluster and EFRE.

“This project was managed by Thomas Gröger, member of the plastics cluster, and Nina Krempl, originally employed in the industry but later coming to the Montanuniversität. At asma, Development Manager Rainer Poiss and Chief Technology Officer Thomas Brandeis supervised the project.”
