Fields of professions at asma: packaging / shipping

Once a product has gone through all the necessary processes from development through production to quality testing, it can be packaged and shipped. Many steps are necessary to ensure that the goods arrive undamaged at the right place at the right time. That makes the field of activity of our shipping employees very varied.

Before the goods leave the company, the following work steps are necessary:

Choice of shipping method
Allocation of parcel services / freight forwarders
Picking the goods
Packing the goods
Printing out the stickers (QR codes, …)
Writing the delivery notes

Fields of professions at asma: packaging / shipping

The goods are then either picked up by a shipping service provider or delivered directly to the customer by us. In addition to checking the invoices from the shipping service providers, the organization of collections and truck trips is also one of the diverse tasks of the „Packaging / Shipping“ department.

Another important area of activity is the stock management of finished goods. Internal inquiries such as „Are the goods available?“ or „When will the order be ready for dispatch?“ are also answered here.

Is the delivery only possible on a certain day of the week? Should the goods be packed in a certain way? Is a shipping service provider preferred? No problem! Of course, we are also happy to take the wishes of our customers into account here.

Strict adherence to deadlines and the packaging of the sometimes very heavy products make this job challenging, but our shipping employees agree: “Despite the physical and mental exertion, we enjoy the job because it is so varied. In addition, we are a team that gets along well.” The flex time model at asma is very well received because it allows working hours to be adapted to day-to-day business.
