You can use most of the online services provided by asma without registering or disclosing your identity. Security and confidentiality:

To ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data recorded by asma online, asma uses data networks with standardised safeguards and password protection. asma also takes appropriate measures to protect your personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, modification or destruction.

If you wish to send us personal data electronically by entering the data on our website, your data will be transmitted over the internet to our web server in encrypted form via a state-of-the-art secure connection (SSL), saved and backed up. Please be aware that, by contrast, data transmitted by email is not usually encrypted.

Based on the current state of the art, it is not possible to fully ensure the security of data transferred via the internet. Other users may technically be able to breach network security and control message traffic. Please bear this in mind when you contact us.

Access data and log files:

Our website is hosted by our provider, internex GmbH (Lagerstrasse 15, 3950 Gmünd, Austria). The provider collects data each time our website is accessed.

The following data is collected and stored on the server for three months: The IP address of the requesting computer, together with the date, time, the request, which file is requested (name and URL), what amount of data is transferred to you, a message as to whether the request was successful, identification data of the browser and operating system used, and the website from which access was made (if access was via a link).

Log data is stored for the purpose of statistical analysis, operation and security and also enables simplified access statistics.

The provider reserves the right to subsequently review log data in the event of concrete indications that there are reasonable grounds to suspect unlawful use.

Wordfence security plug-in:

This website is secured using the Wordfence Security plug-in (operated by Defiant Inc., 800 5th Ave., Suite 4100, Seattle, WA 98104, USA). Wordfence Security is used to prevent criminal attacks and protect the website from viruses and malware.

The plug-in sets cookies to determine whether the website is being visited by a human or a robot. To defend against brute-force attacks and to prevent spam comments by hackers, IP addresses are stored locally on the web server. Brute-force attacks include numerous automated login attempts with the same identity. White-list entries are not used on this website. Also, the „Participate in the Real-Time Wordfence Security Network“ option is disabled.

These measures are taken for a legitimate reason in accordance with the GDPR.
