Corona in everyday company life

Testing, testing, testing – this is the strategy the federal government and health experts conjure up in addition to vaccination when coping with the corona pandemic. This statement has been in all media for weeks and months.

Asma in Weitra was one of the first companies in the Gmünd district to take the initiative and offer a free antigen-rapid-test for employees and their families. „We are taking on responsibility in the pandemic and at the same time creating more security and thus a win-win situation for our own company,“ emphasizes company owner Claudia Steininger. “The offer is just as grateful as it is widely accepted by the workforce”, sums up coordinator Günter Braun in his role a safety specialist from asma after the first few weeks and adds: “Fortunately, our employee David Haubner is a trained paramedic, which makes testing very uncomplicated and, if necessary, it can be carried out more closely”. The professional training and control for correctness is carried out by the medical officer Dr. Waltraud Höfinger, so that the rapid tests are also valid for hairdressers and body-hugging service providers. „With the official recognition of the tests, we also create a practicable opportunity for employees from the Czech Republic to get to their workplace without enormous effort and difficulties,“ says Claudia Steininger, one of the reasons for the decision to test in-house.
